Good evening, everyone.

We are gathered here to celebrate the life of Kandie Amy Pearl Allen.

For anyone who doesn't know me, I'm Iva Scott, and Kandie was my daughter in law.

Kandie was an incredible person.

She was adored by her four children.

Her hard work, her caring nature, her humour and her love of life are some the traits that characterized this amazing and loving person.

My daughter in law was born on March 4, 1980, in Anchorage Alaska. She enjoyed walking in the country side, and the East and West beaches here in Nome.

Berry picking was her favorite time to be in the tundra.

She went on field trips with Ramon and his friends. She enjoyed taking pictures wherever she went.

When she was giving birth to daughter Renee, I told her,

"Wow, the baby and Erni will have the same birthdate."

I told her this about 4pm that day, and she replied

"Oh no I'm going the slow down my contractions, Ill have her tomorrow."

She delivered after midnight, so Renee was born on the 13th of September. She was so determined to have her the following day!

Kandie, was always willing to help and support anyone in need, no matter what their situation was. Always having a smile on her face and joking around.

I'll miss her coming by everyday asking if there was anything thats needs to be done, cleaning, shopping or checking the post office.

Her life touched so many people, and continues to this day. Her humour, kindness and selflessness will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know and love her.
